John 3:16—“For God so loved the world …”

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:14-16).

John 3:16 has been quoted ad nauseum, all throughout history, to support Arminianism, Amyraldianism, the Well-Meant Offer, Marrow theology, etc.—all of which heresies teach a death of Christ for all men.
