John 3:16—“For God so loved the world …”

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:14-16).

COMMON GRACE ARGUMENT:
This well-known text has been quoted, throughout history, to support Arminianism, Amyraldianism, the Free Offer, Marrow theology, and a death of Christ for all men (not to mention the idea that God loves absolutely all men, bar none, including the reprobate).
